I wish I had time to watch TV. Not sure I would—but I really wish I had the time, because I keep hearing that some of my clients are getting nice buzz from DC-based reality TV shows. The women of Georgetown Cupcake even have their own new show on TLC! It’s already signed for a second season and the media attention is attracting crazy lines at the shops, even in record-breaking DC heatwaves. I really enjoy shooting with them and love their pearl-studded cutie, above.
Bravo Network’s Top Chef filmed all over the DC area, and at least two venues for the show are my clients. A few weeks ago, the contestants cooked and served a picnic for Capitol Hill interns on the beautiful grounds of Mount Vernon, where I am shooting a cookbook. And this week, they will be cooking in the kitchen at The Palm. I just shot there for the restaurant’s upcoming website redesign and really have fun with them.
So, I guess I’m out of touch with reality TV. But I’m always happy when buzz helps my clients!
